AKA “Radam Adam” - “I pretty much do what I love on a daily basis. That is, working at snowboarding, skiing and outdoor recreation while fishing, hunting, hiking, and enjoying family and friends in a location that I cherish. With this passion for the outdoor experience, I learned years ago that there is no greater purpose in life than “service to others”. That said, I devote my time to MBSEF, RAD Camps, and Mt. Bachelor! No person left inside!”

Mountain started riding at – “I skied and snowboarded Willamette Pass, Hoodoo, and Mt. Bachelor while growing up in Springfield, Oregon. I actually learned to snowboard in my Springfield backyard on a Blacksnow plastic snowboard. We jumped off a picnic table onto a slide to gain speed to jump off our deck and then hit a left bank and then skid to a stop before the fence. It was the raddest thing I had ever done and I was hooked for life. I remember doing a FS 180 off the deck that day as well and thinking, I wish this thing was made to ride backwards. That was 1992 I believe.”

Home Mountain – “Bachelor Butte near Bend, Oregon”

Favorite place ever ridden – “I loved the Whistler/Blackcomb Resort and surrounding area. Three Sisters Wilderness tops it though!”

Favorite food – “Freshly harvested deer, trout, and other wild animals.”

Highlight so far in snowboarding career – “Just this year, two kids that I have coached through MBSEF made the Olympics and Winter X-Games! Kent Callister got 9th in Halfpipe at Sochi while Ben Fergusan received 4th at the X-games. As much as I love snowboarding and doing the tricks myself, there is something special about helping others to enjoy the same experience. Most of all, I am so proud of Kent and Ben’s attitudes about snowboarding. They are all about having fun and that is why we all started doing this stuff in the first place.”
